FIS n/n clear, Pssm1 n/n clearWe are thrilled to introduce Sugar Hill Finan the Agile, a colt we are incredibly excited to have retained as a prospective herd sire for Sugar Hill Acres.
Finan represents a very special combination of bloodlines that we have long admired and carefully selected for our breeding program. His dam, WHR Sugar Hill Teagan, has an exceptional production record, having produced a GVHS 5-Star rated horse, a very high 4-Star rated horse, a GVHS Medallion of Quality recipient, as well as multiple National Champions and Grand Champions in both halter and performance. Every mature offspring of Teagan's that has entered the show ring has earned a championship title, making her one of the most consistent and proven producers in the breed.
Finan's sire, WR Ranch's GVR ER’s Pilot by Latcho, brings an impressive pedigree. Pilot is the son of the legendary Latcho Drom and is out of Equirace Gypsy, an exquisite mare whose influence is unmistakable. We have admired Pilot since first seeing photos and videos of him, but meeting him in person confirmed what we had already seen on paper. His conformation, presence, movement, and temperament exemplify the qualities we value in a stallion. Pilot is also a full sibling to one of our favorite mares, Violet, making these bloodlines an especially meaningful addition to our program.
As Finan continues to mature, he is already giving us plenty of reasons to be excited. He has proven himself to be a sweet, willing gentleman with exceptional conformation and beautiful movement. His structure, balance, and presence continue to develop in ways that make us very optimistic about his future.
Finan remains at Sugar Hill Acres as a prospective herd sire, and we will continue to carefully assess him as he matures. We believe a young stallion should earn his place in a breeding program through more than just pedigree; we want to see how he develops physically, mentally, and in the ring before making that final determination.
We hope Finan will continue to meet our expectations and ultimately become an important sire of future Sugar Hill Acres foals. With his proven pedigree, strong structure, beautiful movement, and wonderful disposition, we are excited to watch this young stallion prospect develop.
