Welcome to Sugar Hill Acres.
We are located in Hebron, New York on the Vermont border.
We are dedicated to the preservation of the traditional Gypsy Vanner breed type and characteristics that were created over many generations while embracing the future of this versatile breed in the United States. We emphasize health, type, conformation, movement, and disposition- we selectively breed for quality in all facets. We strive for powerful, sturdy Gypsy Vanners with proper conformation, traditional style, abundant, luxurious hair, and feather with outstanding, intelligent, calm, kind dispositions. Our dedication to quality has resulted in consistent recognition, with our horses achieving GVHS Year-End High Point Top 10 rankings almost every year since we began showing them. We are proud to have produced a GVHS Five Star Mare, multiple National Champions, Grand Champions, Supreme Champions, GVHS Medallion of Quality recipients, and a Legion of Excellence horse. With a small, carefully selected herd that includes both U.S.-bred and imported horses from the U.K., we are able to provide each of our animals with the daily attention and care they deserve. This commitment to quality and individualized care is at the heart of what we do.

Our animals are a part of our family. Our foals receive lots of love and training as they are nurtured through maturation. We look forward to making the dream of having a Gypsy Vanner the reality for the right homes.

We are passionate about Gypsy Vanner Horses. We are active in the Gypsy Vanner Horse Society (GVHS), our registry of choice, and the New England Gypsy Horse Club.

In August of 2018 we took an amazing trip to England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland. We were able to visit several Gypsy farms and learn from the breeders there.
