Introducing Sweetie, a horse whose lineage reads like a roll call of Gypsy royalty. With ancestors including Tonka, The Lottery Horse, Lenny Howard's Horse, and other esteemed names like Roadsweeper (UK), The Lob, Bob The Blagdon, and The Coal Horse, Sweetie's bloodlines are a tapestry of excellence.
But Sweetie isn't just a product of her ancestry; she's a testament to the best traits of her forebears.  Sweetie embodies superb conformation. Her disposition matches her name, exuding sweetness and charm in every interaction, a testament to her lineage and upbringing.
Sweetie's story begins as the first foal born on our farm, heralding a new chapter in our journey with Gypsy Vanner Horses. Her dam, The Real Roney, carries the illustrious blood of Tonka, while her sire, The Sundance Kid, adds his own legacy to the mix. Sweetie arrived into the world as a smoky black filly with four white socks, a vision of elegance and promise.

Sweetie's bond with my husband, Dan, blossomed from the very start. Despite his initial reservations about horses, Sweetie's arrival marked a turning point. From assisting her first steps to showering her with affection, Dan became Sweetie's steadfast companion and confidant. Their bond is a testament to the transformative power of Gypsy Vanner companionship.
In September 2017, Sweetie ventured beyond the familiar confines of our farm to make her debut at the first annual NEGHC Gypsy show. Despite being her first time off the farm, Sweetie dazzled us all with her performance. Placing in the top three in every class she entered, she showcased her versatility and poise. But the true highlight came in the Youth In-hand Trail class, where Sweetie and her  handler navigated obstacles with ease, leaving everyone in awe. 

Sweetie has continued to excel in the show ring and has done demos at Equine Affaire in front of large crowds in an unusual environment. She has produced lovely foals as well.

In Sweetie, we've found not just a horse, but a cherished member of our family and a living embodiment of our passion for Gypsy Vanner horses. With her, the legacy of her illustrious lineage continues, promising a future filled with success and joy.


Sweetie (as a 2 year old) was the fifth highest ranked horse for 2017 GVHS Year End Amateur Halter!

After less than a month of being under saddle, and with having about 25 rides, Sweetie came home with a 2nd and a 3rd in the Adult Walk, Trot Division! There were not any walk trot Green Horse classes so Sweetie competed with Tabitha Morgan against 5 seasoned horses in Pleasure and Disciplined Rail (where she was asked to side pass, back, turn on forequarters, and turn on the haunches). We are very proud of her!
A week later she attended the NEGHC Gypsy & Open Show and did fabulously both in the conformation and under saddle classes. Please see results below.

In 2021 Sweetie was the NEGHC Gypsy WT English Champion, Gypsy Youth WT English Champion and Gypsy Youth WJ Western Champion.
